The $1,900 is broken down into $1,700 in after-tax contributions, and $200 in pre-tax earnings. I have the option to rollover the after-tax contributions into my Roth IRA, and pre-tax earnings into my Traditional IRA. Unless that broker has their own brand of funds to invest in with the IRA. Not sure if E-Trade has their own brand of funds that have no fees for trades but Vanguard is the largest and there are tons of funds that you can trade for free if you have a Vanguard account.
